Runner-up📝 Match Report
Jannik Sinner claimed his second consecutive Australian Open title with a commanding straight-sets victory over Alexander Zverev in the men's singles final at Rod Laver Arena.
The world No. 1 showcased the form that has made him virtually unbeatable on hard courts, breaking Zverev's serve twice in the opening set to establish early dominance. Sinner's relentless baseline game, combined with his improved net play, left the German struggling to find answers.
The second set saw Zverev mount a brief resistance, saving three break points in the fourth game, but Sinner's consistency proved too much. A stunning forehand winner down the line gave the Italian a crucial break at 4-4, and he served out the set with aplomb.
In the third set, Sinner raised his level even further. An early break set the tone, and despite Zverev's best efforts to stay in the match, the defending champion was simply too good. Sinner converted his first championship point with an ace, collapsing to the court in celebration.
With this victory, Sinner becomes the first Italian man to win multiple Australian Open titles and extends his winning streak to 21 matches.
